Policy Coverage
This policy describes EPTAC Corporation’s (“EPTAC”) policies regarding and practices for collecting and using private information that we may collect, or that you may provide when you access any of EPTAC’s websites, eptac.com, eptaccanada.ca, eptacapp.com, or when you download, install, access, or use the EPTAC Mobile App (the “EPTAC: Your IPC Certification and Electronics Training Connection” mobile application for iPhone and “EPTAC: Your IPC Connection” mobile application for Android) individually know as a “Property”, collectively referenced herein as the “Properties” for purposes of this policy.
Protecting Your Privacy
EPTAC respects the preservation and protection of the privacy of visitors to its Properties. It is possible to visit EPTAC’s Properties without self-revealing any personal information. There are, however, certain features and advanced functions on EPTAC’s Properties which require visitors to provide personal information. Should you decide to provide EPTAC with personal information through one of our Properties, EPTAC will limit the use of your personal information to EPTAC business and may use this requested information to (1) Provide you with any other information, products or services that you request from us, (2) Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide the Properties, or (3) Notify you when updates are available, and of any changes to any products or services we offer or provide through the Properties.

- If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of EPTAC, our customers or others.
If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not access, download, register with, or use any of EPTAC’s Properties. By downloading, registering with, or using any of EPTAC’s Properties, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of EPTAC’s Properties after changes are made is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
Information Gathering
EPTAC may use or disclose your IP address, and data connection-specific information, to help us diagnose problems with our servers and network, and to administer our Properties by identifying (1) which parts of our Properties are most heavily used, and (2) where our audience comes from, from both within and outside the EPTAC data network.
Use of Cookies
Cookies are text files stored on computers or mobile devices to enhance the usability and regular operation of a websites and apps. EPTAC may use cookies to store information during and after an individual accesses EPTAC’s Properties. The use of cookies enables EPTAC to tailor the use of our Properties to individual visitors, and to tell if individuals have visited us before, so we can be aware of an individual’s choices and interests the next time they visit. Any information, including personal information, which you expressly choose to provide, may be stored in a cookie. Your web browser or mobile device can be configured to refuse cookies or to notify you when an EPTAC Property attempts to send you a cookie, however; making this choice could detract from the usability of certain EPTAC Properties.
We use Google AdWords
EPTAC’s Properties use the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our Properties. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our Properties, for example using the contact form to make an inquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to EPTAC’s Properties. Any data collected will be used in accordance with this privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
Individual Accounts
Certain EPTAC Properties allow individuals to create and maintain individualized accounts. Where these Properties are concerned, individuals have the responsibility of maintaining the confidentiality of their accounts and passwords, and for restricting access to their computers or mobile devices. Individuals agree to accept responsibility and repercussions for all activities that originate from their accounts.
Security Measures
EPTAC follows industry-standard security measures, to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
Third-Party Linked Sites
As a courtesy, EPTAC’s Properties may include links to third-party websites. If you use these links, be aware that EPTAC’s Privacy Policy does not apply to such third party websites or apps. You use these third-party websites and apps at your own risk and you should review the applicable terms and policies, including privacy and data gathering practices, of any site or app to which you navigate to, from a third-party link on EPTAC’s Properties.
